About

Where I come from,
every word was
on the record.

I came up in high-dollar political fundraising — major donors, high-stakes races, and money that moved under federal rules. Every call, every email, every solicitation, and every public word carried a disclaimer requirement and a reporting obligation, so you learned to write things that were compelling and permissible at the same time. There was no version of that job where you got to do those in the wrong order.

Narrative control is not a marketing idea. It is a discipline, and most businesses have never practiced it.

What I noticed, working with businesses afterward, is that the serious ones had the same problem. Real revenue, real reputations, and no control at all over what was said about them — because the people handling their communications did not understand the rules they were operating under, and so defaulted to saying as little as possible.

Sevara Advisory exists for those companies. Banks and lenders. Surgical and medical practices. Developers and the principals who run them. Organizations where the audience includes an examiner.

Background

What I actually bring
to the account.

Campaigns & committees

Compliance as a reflex, not a review step

Multiple political campaigns and political action committees — major-donor fundraising events, donor communications, and public messaging. Not grassroots. This was the high-dollar side of the operation, where a single conversation could be worth five or six figures and every one of them was on the record. Campaign finance runs on FEC disclaimer requirements, contribution limits, and reporting deadlines, which is the same structure lenders live under with NMLS identification and Regulation Z, and the same one medical practices live under with patient authorization. I didn't learn those habits on a client's account.

Relationship capital

Knowing who to call

Major-donor fundraising is relationship work at close range — years of it, with people who are careful about their time, their money, and their name. It teaches you how decisions actually get made inside institutions, and how to ask someone for something significant without spending the relationship to get it. That is most of public relations.

Execution

Strategy and the hands to deliver it

Copy, design, content programs, and full website build handled in-house. Nothing is outsourced to a contractor you never meet, and there is no gap between the plan and the person responsible for it.

Live commerce

I have sold on camera, live, with my own money at stake

Before this, I built and ran a live selling business on Whatnot — hosting the shows myself, setting record sales nights, and carrying every part of it from inventory to audience. Before that I helped grow another seller's operation into consistent six-figure months. It is the reason on-camera work is a service here rather than something we hire out, and the reason I understand what marketing looks like from the side of the table where it is an expense someone has to justify.

Current clients

Regulated industries, actively

A nationally chartered bank on an ongoing social and content program, with lending disclosures carried correctly on every post. A private development group on brand and digital presence. An aesthetics studio on a full website rebuild and image consent workflow. Client names on request.

How I work

Fewer clients,
answered directly.

Engagements are retained monthly rather than billed by the hour, and I take on a limited number at a time. The full program is where this work does the most — but where a client needs to start narrower, we scope from there. You will not be introduced to me and then handed to someone else. The person in the first meeting is the person who writes the statement, places the story, and picks up the phone at ten at night when something has gone wrong.
